Lyrics

I’ve been walkin’ this road with my chains in the dirt, Every step that I take seems to double the hurt. Debt’s on my ankle, Sorrow pulls too, And Doubt on my shoulders won’t let me push through. Feels like the earth put my soul on trial, Gravity laughin’ with every mile. This is the trial of gravity, weighin’ me down, The harder I fight, the closer the ground. But Love lifts my heart, Faith steadies my hand, Together they help me to rise where I stand. I’ve pleaded with silence, I’ve bargained with pain, Tried outrunnin’ shadows, but they all remain. Debt whispers failure, Sorrow cries loud, And Doubt keeps on preachin’ I won’t make it out. But out of the dark came a gentle sound, Love and Faith tell me I’m not bound. This is the trial of gravity, weighin’ me down, The harder I fight, the closer the ground. But Love lifts my heart, Faith steadies my hand, Together they help me to rise where I stand. The jury of my fears can’t take me away, ’Cause I’ve found defenders who taught me to stay. The verdict is hope, the sentence is free, With Love and with Faith, I can finally believe. This is the trial of gravity, weighin’ me down, But I’m standin’ tall, I’ve turned it around. Love lifts my heart, Faith steadies my hand, Together they carry me— Now I can stand. Yeah, the trial of gravity… Don’t have to face it alone. Hmmmmm the trial of gravity never gonna face it alone

The Allegory of the Trial of Gravity

Gravity
Life's burdens and Pressure.
Courtroom
Human struggles and judgement.
Debt
Pressure and responsibility.
Sorrow
Grief and emotional pain.
Doubt
Inner fear and criticism.
Chains
Emotional burdens.
Love
Human support.
Faith
Hope and resilience.
Verdict
Choosing hope over despair.

The forces pulling us downward are real—but we were never meant to carry them alone.

Reflection

Life has a way of making burdens feel personal. We carry worries, failures, responsibilities, grief, expectations, and doubts — often silently. Over time, they begin to feel like gravity itself: an invisible force constantly pulling us downward.

The trial in this story is not really taking place in a courtroom. It takes place inside every person who has ever questioned whether they are strong enough to keep moving. Debt speaks. Fear argues its case. Doubt presents evidence. And sometimes those voices sound convincing.

But not every voice in the courtroom speaks against us. Love and Faith enter quietly. They do not deny the weight exists — they simply remind us that some things were never meant to be carried alone.

Because sometimes strength is not defeating gravity. Sometimes strength is discovering who stands beside you when it pulls.

“The verdict was hope.”
